Over the past month, I’ve put in about 6-8 different job applications, had two actual interviews, and accepted one position (which was one of the first I applied for). I never realized that some companies and corporations take a bit of time to make their hiring decisions and to process all the paperwork. At least it’s a bit long than Mr. Unemployed here would like!
But I’m glad they take the time to make the right decision first and check people out to begin with.
I’ve been reading a few different books lately as well. I just picked up ‘Mere Christianity’ again (by C.S. Lewis), so that I can remind myself of a few things I seem to have forgotten along the way. Lewis has an uncanny way of starting at the very root of things, and building out the basic building blocks of the Christian faith. I forgot how breath-taking and engaging the basics can be! If only we’d remember the basics and stick to them more often…
I also still catch myself thinking, “How could I have ever made it another day without marrying the love of my life?” I have the most amazing wife on the face of the earth. We’ve only been married 5 months now, but I can hardly remember what life was like without her. I love you wifey!
Ok, I think it’s time for some ice cream now.
